Finishing the Image with Lightroom and Photoshop
The Elusive Landscape – a three part series:
Finding, Composing, Finishing.
#3. Finishing the Image with Lightroom and Photoshop
What makes a powerful Landscape or Nature Photograph? How do we find it? What gives a photograph “staying power”? How does it become a “lifetime image”? How do we separate the image from all that beautiful nature?
Once We have found & composed it – How do we finish the It? How do we take the Raw material from the camera and turn it into one of those “Lifetime Images”? Do we let the camera make the decisions – or do we create a finished image that reflects what we saw, what we felt, & what we want to share?
In this presentation, Dan will demonstrate the editing steps and tools he uses to take that dull RAW file into a completed image – ready for competition, sharing, or to hang on the wall. He will cover importing with presets, Lightroom’s editing tools, and steps he follows in Photoshop. If time allows, he will demonstrate how he preps an image for competition.
As is Dan’s style – this will be a participation presentation – bring your questions!
The examples will be mainly landscape and nature – but the thoughts, tools, and steps apply to all genres.
